Sinimulan na rin ng San Juan City government ang pagtuturok ng Bivalent Covid-19 vaccines para sa mga healthcare workers sa lungsod nitong Huwebes.
Mismong si Metro Manila Council (MMC) President at San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora ang nanguna sa launching ng bivalent Covid-19 vaccines para sa A1 category, na kinabibilangan ng frontline healthcare workers gaya ng mga doktor at nurses na nakatira sa lungsod o nagtatrabaho sa mga pagamutan na sakop ng San Juan.

Isinagawa ang launching dakong alas-8:00 ng umaga sa FilOil EcoOil Centre sa lungsod.
Kasama ni Zamora sa pagsaksi sa aktibidad sina Department of Health (DOH) Regional Director Dr. Aleli Anne Grace P. Sudiacal at iba pang city officials.
Kaugnay nito, hinikayat ni Zamora ang publiko na magpaturok na ng bakuna upang hindi dapuan ng virus.
“I would like to reiterate that while we are well on our way to recovery from the pandemic, we still need to protect ourselves from the virus," aniya.
Dagdag pa ni Zamora, "The bivalent booster vaccine is an improved version of the vaccine that provides a broader protection against the Omicron variant."
Nabatid na ang naturang bakuna ay tinawag na bivalent dahil mayroon itong components na nagkakaloob ng mas mahusay na proteksyon laban sa original strain ng virus, gayundin sa mas bagong Omicron variant.
"It helps in lowering the risk of severe illnesses, hospitalization, and death resulting from Covid-19," ani Zamora.
Nabatid na ang mga frontline workers na unang pagkakalooban ng first dose ng bivalent vaccine ay yaong nasa ilalim ng A1.1 category o health workers sa mga Covid-19 referral hospitals na designated ng DOH at A1.2 category o frontline workers sa public at private hospitals na nagkakaloob ng Covid-19 care.
Kabilang dito ang mga manggagawa mula sa San Juan Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, St. Martin De Porres Charity Hospital, F. Manalo Puericulture Center at LGU isolation facilities.
Nagpaalala rin naman ni Zamora sa publiko na nagbibigay pa rin sila mg second booster shots sa mga residente at non-residents.
Maaari aniya silang magrehistro sa vaccine registration portal ng lungsod at hintayin ang kanilang scheduled vaccination.
“I urge everyone to get your booster shots if you are due for it and are qualified to get it. Remember that the virus continually evolves and our immunity decreases over time, so we need to stay protected,” ani Zamora.
