Magdaraos ang makasaysayang Manila Cathedral (Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) sa Intramuros, Manila ng isang “open house” sa Lunes, Hunyo 12, bilang paggunita sa ika-125 anibersaryo ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

“The cathedral will give the public access to areas that are usually off-limits such as the side chapels, crypt, and the choir loft from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.,” ani Manila Cathedral rector Monsignor Rolly Dela Cruz.

“The open house aims to make the people appreciate the Manila Cathedral’s rich history and contributions to culture. By making those otherwise-restricted areas accessible to the people, they will hopefully appreciate the effort that went into its reconstruction,” dagdag ng Church leader.

Magiging available umano ang free guided tours dakong 10 ng umaga at 3 ng hapon para sa mga gustong matuto nang higit pa tungkol sa kasaysayan ng katedral.

Idaraos ang mga banal na misa sa ganap na ika-7:30 ng umaga at ika-12:10 ng tanghali. Magkakaroon din ng Pipe Organ Mini-concert bandang 9:30 ng umaga at 1:30 ng hapon.

Muling gaganapin ng Manila Cathedral ang open house pagkatapos ng tatlong taon dahil sa Covid-19 pandemic.
