Sinabi ng mga state seismologist nitong Biyernes ng gabi, Hunyo 2, na mayroong patuloy na low-level activity sa Bulkang Taal.
Sa isang advisory na inilabas nitong Biyernes, sinabi ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) na medyo "mahina ngunit tuloy-tuloy" na pagyanig ng bulkan ang naitala ng hindi bababa sa labinlimang seismic station ng Taal Volcano Network simula 6:52 a.m. nitong Biyernes.
“The event was accompanied by increased thermal anomalies on the northern portion and upwelling of volcanic fluids in the Taal Main Crater,” sabi ng Phivolcs.
Bukod dito, sinabi ng Phivolcs na naobserbahan din nila ang pagtaas ng sulfur dioxide (SO2) emission ng bulkan sa nakalipas na dalawang linggo na may average na hindi bababa sa 5,360 tonelada bawat araw.

Pinananatili ang alert level 1 sa Taal, ngunit sinabi ng mga state seismologist na kung lumala o magbago ang low-level activity sa mga sinusubaybayang parameter, maaari itong itaas sa Alert Level 2.
Sa ilalim ng Alert Level 1, ang steam-driven o phreatic explosions, volcanic earthquakes, at minor ashfall ay posibleng magbanta sa mga lugar sa loob ng Taal Volcano Island (TVI).
“Entry into TVI, Taal’s Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ), especially the vicinities of the main crater and the Daang Kastila fissure must remain strictly prohibited,” giit ng Phivolcs.
