Pinatawan muli ng 60 araw na suspensyon si Negros Oriental 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo Teves, Jr. dahil sa patuloy pagliban nito kaya hindi na magampanan ang kanyang trabaho bilang miyembro ng House of Representatives.
Ang pagpataw muli ng suspensyon kay Teves ay suportado ng 285 na mambabatas sa pamamagitan ng Committee Report 660 ng House Committee on Ethics and Privileges na pinamunuan ni COOP NATCCO Party-list Rep. Felimon Espares.
Sinabi sa committee report na patuloy pa rin ang hindi awtorisadong pagliban ni Teves bilang kongresista at pinalala pa ito ng kanyang kahilingang mabigyan siya ng political asylum sa Timor-Leste kamakailan.
"His actions and all its consequences have compromised the integrity of the House of Representatives and constitute disorderly behavior warranting disciplinary action,” ayon sa report ng komite.

Noong Marso 22, pinatawan na ng 60 days preventive suspension ang kongresista nang mabigo bumalik sa bansa matapos mag-expire ang travel authority.
“I would like to reiterate that as members of this house, we must be accountable to the people at all times and perform our legislative mandates with utmost competence, efficiency, effectiveness, integrity and fidelity to the people’s welfare. Nothing less. Let this be a reminder to all of us,” giit naman ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
“Walang personalan dito. Ginagawa lamang natin ang sinumpaan nating tungkulin at pangako sa sambayanan," dagdag pa ni Romualdez.
