Isinapubliko ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na 100 percent nang handa ang ahensya sa pagdaraos ng Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections sa Oktubre 2023.

“We are happy to inform the public that the Comelec is 100 percent ready to conduct the elections of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan on October 30,” lahad ni Comelec Spokesperson Rex Laudiangco.

“We have already printed almost 92 million ballots that we’ll be using. All the election returns, statements of rules. And in fact, they have already been packed and ready for pre-deployment,” anang opisyal.

Bukod dito, isasailalim din aniya nila sa training ang mga electoral board members sa Setyembre habang isasagawa naman ang pagpapakalat ng mga balota at paraphernalia ilang araw bago ang botohan sa buong bansa.

Tutukuyin din ng Comelec ang mga lugar na pagdarausan ng pilot testing para sa mall voting sa buong bansa.'

“The primary beneficiaries of this mall voting will be those residing in barangays with close proximity to the malls… Our countrymen should not commute going to the malls, it should be walking distance from their residences,” ani Laudiangco.

Puntirya rin aniya ng Comelec na makapagtala ng isang milyong mall voting beneficiaries para sa pilot test.
