Inalerto ng Department of Health (DOH) nitong Sabado, Mayo 20, ang publiko kaugnay ng isang maling artikulo na kumakalat ngayon hinggil sa umano’y ‘lunas’ daw sa hypertension o high blood pressure.
Sa isang abiso na kanilang inilabas, sinabi ng DOH na ang naturang artikulo ay hindi aprubado, hindi affiliated o rekomendado ng ahensiya at ng mga attached units nito.
“The Department of Health (DOH) warns the public regarding a circulating false article about a cure for hypertension,” bahagi ng advisory.
“The DOH further clarifies that the said post is not in any way or form approved, affiliated, or recommended by the Department of Health and its attached agencies,” anito pa.
Kaugnay nito, pinaalalahanan rin ng DOH ang publiko na magbasa lamang ng mga health information mula sa mga lehitimong sources at platfroms gaya ng health department.
Ayon sa DOH, ang hypertension o high blood pressure ay isang common ngunit manageable na non-communicable disease.
“If you have high blood pressure, your doctor may recommend one or more medicines," anang World Health Organization (WHO).
“Your recommended blood pressure goal may depend on what other health conditions you have,” anito pa.
Sinabi naman ng DOH na maaaring maiwasan ng mga mamamayan ang naturang karamdaman sa pamamagitan lamang ng pagkakaroon ng healthy lifestyle at habits gaya ng tamang diet at regular na pag-e-ehersisyo.
“Be sure to regularly have check-ups and consult your physician to help supplement and keep sickness at bay,” anito pa.
