Ipinahayag ng Department of Education (DepEd) kahapon ng Miyerkules, Mayo 3, na muli nilang pag-aaralan ang pagsama ng paksang ‘same-sex unions’ sa kanilang draft ng curriculum guide para sa Kindergarten hanggang Grade 10.

Sa pahayag ng DepEd, sinabi nitong taong 2013 pa lamang ay nasa curriculum na ang nasabing paksa na layon umanong palawakin ang pang-unawa ng mga mag-aaral sa mga isyung pangkasarian.

“It seeks to provide learners with a broader understanding of gender-based issues, encourage respect within the community, and promote inclusivity,” saad ng DepEd.

“Nonetheless, the Department will consolidate and consider all the comments received, as we move to finalize the K-10 curriculum guide,” dagdag nito.
