“The newest #Barbie fashion doll was designed with purpose and inclusivity at the heart of every choice.”

“With the debut of this doll, Barbie hopes to continue to allow more children the chance to see themselves in Barbie, better reflect the world they see around them, and foster a sense of inclusivity for kids everywhere,” saad ng Mattel.

“Dressed in the colors and symbols of the community, she wears matching ankle foot orthotics, and a three-chevron necklace representing the three copies of the 21st chromosome that result in the characteristics associated with Down syndrome – and represents “the lucky few” who have someone with Down syndrome in their life 💕,” saad ng Barbie.

“This Barbie serves as a reminder that we should never underestimate the power of representation. It is a huge step forward for inclusion and a moment that we are celebrating,” aniya.
