Nagwaging "People's Choice Award" ang estudyanteng Pilipinang si Pierre Beatrix Madlangbayan sa championship round ng Shakespeare Competition ng The English-Speaking Union sa Amerika, na isinagawa kahapon ng Abril 24, 2023, sa Lincoln Center, New York City.
Bukod sa tropeo, naiuwi ni Madlangbayan ang cash prize na $1,000 na inisponsor ng ESU Cleveland branch, ayon sa Facebook post ng Garden City High School kung saan nag-aaral ang kalahok.

Winner na winner din ang pakiramdam ni Madlangbayan dahil nakadaupang-palad niya at naka-selfie ang Filipino pride sa Broadway na si Lea Salonga. Nakatunggali ni Madlangbayan ang anak na lalaki ni Lea, na itinanghal namang third place sa kompetisyon.
"YALL THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!! I MET LEA SALONGA!!!!" caption ni Madlangbayan sa kaniyang Facebook post, kalakip ang mga litrato nila ni Lea.
Binigyang-buhay ni Madlangbayan si Mark Antony mula sa "Tragedy of Julius Caesar Act 3, Scene 2" at Sonnet 130. Sa hiwalay na Facebook post ay nagpasalamat naman ang Pinay student sa kaniyang surreal at di-malilimutang karanasan.
"Competing in New York for the National Shakespeare Competition was such a surreal experience. I met so many talented students from all over the United States and I had the honor of performing in the Lincoln Center. I also had the chance to see some Broadway shows, which was a first for me," aniya.
"I placed first in the People’s Choice Award, which still feels so unreal. I like to thank everyone who voted for me, this win wouldn’t have been possible without all of you. I especially like to thank my mom, Ms. Robyn, Ms. Alice and Mr. Van Savage for supporting me and helping me improve my craft. I really can’t thank everyone enough and it is truly a great honor to represent Kansas."
Proud na proud naman sa kaniya ang inang si Mimi Dabajo, na hanggang day 1 ay buong-buo ang suporta sa anak. Nagpasalamat siya sa lahat ng mga sumuporta at nagdasal para kay Phybee.
