Ito ang pahayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa kaniyang pakikiisa sa selebrasyon ng mga Pilipino ngayong Araw ng Kagitingan, Abril 9.
“From the battles fought in the trenches of World War II to the struggles against insurgent forces, the Philippines has faced numerous challenges that tested our faith yet showed the world the indomitable spirit of every Filipino,” saad ni Marcos.
“Defined by our feats rather than our trials, we have emerged as a nation that stands tall and proud, guided by the principles of justice, truth, and democracy. We have staunchly proven time and again that we are never the same after each adversity, for we always rise to meet every challenge head-on with grit, grace, and determination,” dagdag niya.

Hinimok din ng Pangulo ang mga Pilipino na suriin ang kanilang pinahahalagahan at parangalan ang mga bayani ng kasaysayan sa pamamagitan ng pagsasalita laban sa diskriminasyon, pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga nangangailangan, at pagtatrabaho para sa mas magandang kinabukasan.
Nawa'y matuto rin umano ang bawat isa na gumawa ng matalino at maayos na mga desisyon upang matugunan ang mga suliranin ng bansa nang may pagmamalasakit sa kapwa.
“As we recollect the sacrifices of our forebears who fought long and hard to defend the our nation’s freedom, let us also bear in mind that our actions today determine the future of our country, including the succeeding generations,” ani Marcos.
Taun-taon ginugunita sa bansa ang Araw ng Kagitingan tuwing Abril 9, ngunit inilipat ng Pangulo ngayong taon ang holiday sa Lunes, Abril 10, alinsunod sa holiday economics.
