Nanawagan ang isang mambabatas sa Senado na pag-aralang mabuti ang pinagtibay na panukalang batas ng Kamara tungkol sa pagsususog sa Konstitusyon.
Partikular na umapela si National Unity Party (NUP) President at Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund "LRay" Villafuerte sa Senate Committee on Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes na gamitin ang bakasyon o congressional break para ikunsidera at pag-aralan ang report ng Kamara sa pag-aamyenda sa restrictive economic provisions ng Constitution.
Kaugnay nito, sinabi ni Villafuerte na umapela na rin si Sen. Robinhood Ferdinand Padilla, chairman ng Senate committee on constitutional amendments, sa kapwa mga senador na aprubahan ang panukala na nag-eendorso sa Charter change (Cha-cha) sa pamamagitan naman ng isang constituent assembly (Con-As).
Ito ay salungat sa pinagtibay na resolusyon ng Kamara at panukala na naglalayong isagawa ang mga amyenda sa pamamagitan ng isang constitutional convention (Con-Con).

"What is important at this stage is for the Senate to consider amendments to our flawed Constitution, so the 19th Congress can come up with a consolidated measure green-lighting a charter makeover, preferably before 2023 is over," ani Villafuerte.
"The important thing is for us lawmakers to keep the ball rolling on constitutional reforms, in the hope that we can do away soon enough with the restrictive economic provisions of our 36-year-old Charter that have put off investors and impeded the flow of FDIs (foreign direct investments)," sabi pa ng Kinatawan ng Camarines Sur.
Bago nagbakasyon ang Kongreso (Marso 24-Mayo 7), ipinasa ng Kamara ang Resolution of Both Houses (RHB) 6 at ang House Bill (HB) 7325, hinggil sa Charter Change (Cha-Cha).
