Tiniyak ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang patuloy na suporta ng Kamara para sa modernization program nito upang mapalakas ang kakayahan sa pagtatanggol sa bansa at matamo ng pambansang katatagan.
Inilabas ni Romualdez ang pahayag sa idinaos na House of Representatives-AFP fellowship series (Visayas leg) sa Cebu City, na dinaluhan ng matataas na pinuno ng military sa pangunguna ni Chief of Staff Gen. Andres Centino.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Romualdez na ang reconciled bill hinggil sa fixed term ng chief of staff at ng iba pang opisyal ay sisiguro sa balanse, tuluy-tuloy na tungkulin at propesyonalismo sa liderato ng AFP.
“The House of Representatives is committed to modernize the Armed Forces of the Philippines as it is crucial to our nation’s sovereignty and security,” dagdag pa nito.
