Walang ka-eme-emeng sinabi ni Liza Soberano na isa siyang clout chaser kagaya ng iginigiit ng netizens kasunod ng naunang viral interactions niya kasama ang ilang K-pop idols.

Para sa isang pop culture website ang "clout chaser is a critical term for a person who is thought to be intent on attaining fame, especially one who tries to do so in ways considered desperate, such as leveraging their proximity to famous people or doing things considered foolish, degrading, or dangerous."
Para kay Liza, wala aniyang masama sa nasabing gawain.

“There’s no harm, shame in clout chasing, that’s what the industry is. That’s what I don’t get actually about the Philippines, everybody is so afraid of social climbing or clout chasing but our industry is all about exposure and collaboration,” paliwanag niya.
Dagdag ng aktres, ito sa katunayan, ang isa sa mga nagustuhan niya sa kultura ng showbiz sa Amerika. “They don’t see it as clout chasing, they see it as you getting the bag. They see it as you working hard to achieve your goals, be proactive with your career.”

“I’m doing that because I want to gain knowledge through them. I want to gain collaborations, [and] more fans hopefully if they like what I do, if they don’t like what I do, that’s okay too.
“Pero yes, I do use their clout to help myself and that’s how it should be in the entertainment [industry],” sey ng young actress.
Matatandaang maging ang dating manager na si Ogie Diaz ay natanong na ng fans ni Liza sa tila pagiging K-pop fan na image na lang ng kaniyang ex-talent.
Samantala, nilinaw naman ng aktres na isang genuine fan ng all-female K-pop group na BLACKPINK at nang ma-meet ang mga ito ay sobra aniya siyang na-startruck.
“That was not just for clout. I really wanted to meet them. I’m so starstruck by them and everything that they have achieved. I’m just in awe and I’m genuinely a fan of their music,” anang aktres.
