Inanunsyo ng Department of Justice (DOJ) na magbibigay si DOJ Sec. Boying Remulla ng P5-milyong pabuya para sa makapagbibigay ng impormasyon sa mga indibidwal na sangkot sa pagpatay kay Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo sa lungsod ng Pamplona nitong Sabado, Marso 4.

"Secretary Remulla has put up a reward of FIVE MILLION PESOS to anyone who can give vital information or evidence to charge and prosecute the perpetrators and mastermind/s behind the murder-assassination of Governor Degamo and the five (5) civilians," pahayag ng DOJ.

Kinondena rin nito ang pagpatay sa gobernador at sinabing inatasan na ni Remulla ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) para imbestigahan ang insidente.

"The violent and senseless manner by which the perpetrators carried out their plan cannot and will not be tolerated. Not only did they kill their target but they killed innocent civilians along the way. There is absolutely no room for such evil doings in this country," anang DOJ.

"The Department, together with all the other law enforcement agencies, will not rest until justice is met. The killers as well as the mastermind/s will be uncovered and will be held accountable for the incident," saad pa nito.
