Naapektuhan umano ang mental health ng singer na si Kris Lawrence dahil sa grabeng pambabatikos sa kaniya ng mga netizen nang depensahan niya ang TV personality na si Alex Gonzaga dahil sa pamamahid nito ng icing ng cake sa isang waiter kamakailan.
Sa kaniyang panayam saPhilippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) nitong Biyernes, Enero 20, ibinahagi ng singer na dumagdag sa kaniyang kalungkutan ang panggagatong umano ng ilang mga kakilala sa media kaya lalong tumindi umano ang pambabatikos sa kaniya sa social media.
“People who I thought were friends from the media are actually feeding off of it.It’s hard kasi I know myself and I never intended harm on anyone, and why are people deciding on what my character is?" saad ni Kris.

Dumating na sa punto na kinukuwestiyon na niya ang kaniyang sarili dahil lubhang naapektuhan ang kaniyang mental health.
“It makes me question myself and my achievements in my life.I can see why a weak-minded person would be depressed or commit suicide after bashing," sey ni Kris sa PEP.ph."I never thought of it naman, but I think people should know that bashing and bullying is a serious thing and people can easily do it in a flash without thinking.People have different perspectives. The intention is the important thing," pagbabahagi pa niya.
Sinabi rin niya na nakakakuha siya ng mga masasakit na salita mula sa mga netizen na hindi niya pa naririnig sa buong buhay niya. Aware rin naman siya na mambabash lang ang mga basher pero sinusubukan daw ng mga ito na diktahan ang kaniyang karakter.
“I’ve learned that bashers will just bash, and you can’t please everyone. It just sucks that these people are trying to dictate my character," aniya.
"They say they want an apology from me but I didn’t even do anything, di naman ako ang nagpahid ng cake — and my intention was to diffuse the bashing.I hope people will open their hearts and minds more and see the intention instead of context. No one is perfect.
“It feels like lahat nang ginawa mong maganda sa buhay, lahat ng tao na pinasaya mo, nabura dahil na-misinterpret at na-misunderstand ka ng mga tao."
Matatandaangnaniniwala si Kris na “normal” lang ang nangyaring insidente sa selebrasyon ni Alex na pawang negatibo namang tinadtad ng netizens.
“People always have something negative to say. Let’s fast forward and after this event that waiter just went viral will probably get ‘somehing’ after and a LOT of sympathy, Most recognition he ever got as a waiter,” viral na komento ngayon ng singer ukol sa isyu.
Dagdag niya, “So after all the noise, I’m sure he will be grateful that this happened. Looks like people just like to extract the negative out of things instead of positive.”
