Ininspeksyon ng mga opisyal ng Department of Health (DOH) ang ilang malalaking pagamutan sa Metro Manila nitong Huwebes bilang paghahanda sa pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon.

Nabatid na nag-ikot ang mga opisyal ng DOH, sa pangunguna ni DOH Officer-in Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire, sa mga ospital upang paigtingin pa ang kanilang Iwas Paputok 2022 campaign.

Unang binisita ni Vergeire ang Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center  kasama sina Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Emmanuel F. Montaña Jr. at ilang opisyal mula sa DOH, Regional Director Gloria Balboa ng Metro Manila Center for Health Development, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager, PCOL Procopio G. Lipana (Ret), at  National Capital Region Police Office Deputy Regional Director for Operations PBGen. Jack Limpayos Wanky. 

Sumunod na tinungo ni Vergeire ang East Avenue Medical Center sa Quezon City, kasama ang mga naturang opisyal, at malugod naman silang tinanggap ni East Avenue Medical Center  Medical Center Chief II, Dr. Alfonso G. Nuñez. 

Huling ininspeksyon naman ang Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center sa Marikina City upang masiguro na aktibong matutugunan ang pangangailangang medikal ng ating mga kababayan sa darating na bagong taon. 

Kasalukuyan nang nakataas ang Code White Alert sa lahat ng mga ospital sa bansa.

Nangangahulugan ito na handa nang rumesponde ang mga ospital sa anumang emergency – mapa-trauma man ito, sugat, o poisoning incidents na dulot ng mga paputok. 

“As we approach the end of the year, we continue to pursue a whole-of-government approach in ensuring the safety of Filipinos. With the support from our hospitals, various government agencies such as the PNP, BFP, and the MMDA, we are positive that we will be able to approach 2023 safely and prosperously,” ani Vergeire.
