Posibleng lumobo sa 8.6 porsyento ang inflation rate ngayong Disyembre, ayon sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) nitong Huwebes.
Sa pahayag ng BSP, resulta lang ito ng pagtaas ng singil sa kuryente, paglobo ng singil sa agricultural commodities, pagsirit ng presyo ng produktong karne at isda, at liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
"Meanwhile, the reduction in petroleum and rice prices as well as the peso appreciation could contribute to easing price pressures for the month," banggit ng BSP.
Sinabi ng BSP, umabot sa walong porsyento ang naitalang inflation nitong Nobyembre dulot ng patuloy na pagsipa ng presyo ng pagkain sa bansa.

Pasok pa sa pagtaya ng BSP ang naitalang inflation nitong Nobyembre na pinakamataas naman mula nang pumatak sa 9.1 percent rate noong Nobyembre 2008.
"The BSP continues tomonitor closelyemerging price developments to enable timely intervention that could help prevent the further broadening of price pressures, in accordance with the BSP’s price stability mandate," pahayag pa ng BSP.
