Pinuri ng news anchor/journalist na si Anthony Taberna ang pelikulang "My Teacher" nina Toni Gonzaga at Joey De Leon kasama pa ang tambalang Ronnie Alonte at Loisa Andalio, ilang araw bago pa maipalabas ang pelikula sa mga sinehan nitong araw ng Pasko, Disyembre 25.
Ayon sa ulat, sinabi ni Ka Tunying na maganda ang naging lesson ni Teacher Emma (karakter ni Toni) sa naturang pelikula, na sana raw ay maging lesson din para sa lahat.
"Ang ganda ng subject ni Ma'am Emma. It's about communication. Talagang dapat matuto tayong mag-communicate sa isa't isa. Magulang sa anak, estudyante sa titser, mga magkakaibigan."

Sa kabilang banda, usap-usapan naman ngayon sa social media ang mababang review ratings na nakuha ng pelikula sa "Goldwin Review", na nakakuha lamang ng 2 out of 5 stars.
"Upfront bullying, grades tampering and school politics are present, but no satisfying counteraction was presented. It’s just there to add some spice and additional conflicts," bahagi ng review.
