Bukod sa indefinite suspension, tinanggal na rin sa Jose Rizal University (JRU) basketball team ang kontrobersyal na player na si John Amores matapos ang pananapak nito sa apat na manlalaro ngDe La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) Blazers kamakailan.

Sa pahayag ng JRU nitong Nobyembre 15, inilabas nila ang desisyon matapos ang isinagawang special investigation laban kay Amores.

Idinahilan ng JRU, bahagi lang ito ng kanilang internal process sa pagdidisiplina sa loob ng paaralan.

"He ll no longer be part of any sports program of JRU, effective immediately.All privileges accruing to Mr. Amores as a student- athlete have been canceled," ayon sa pahayag ng eskuwelahan.

"Based on the Student Manual of the University, he has been further meted out the penalty of suspension from his classes and has been required to undergo community service," pagbibigay-diin ng JRU.

"The University is furthermore working with its Athletics Office, the coaching staff, and the members of the team to ensure their developmental needs to mitigate and prevent similar incidents from taking place in the future.Consistent with the mission and goals of the University and the NCAA, we reiterate our commitment that we will do everything to mold our student-athletes to be responsible citizens and better individuals, in and out of the sporting arena," paliwanag pa ng JRU.

Nag-ugat ang usapin nang suntukin ni Amores ang apat na player ngnakalabannilang koponan sa Filoil Ecooil Center sa San Juan City nitong Nobyembre 8, 3:22 na lang ang natitira sa final period kung saan abante pa ang Blazers.
