Itinanghal ang Federated Barangay Health Workers (BHW) Association of Ilocos Sur, Inc. bilang grand prize winner sa idinaos na “Search for the Outstanding Provincial BHW Federation Ceremony” ng Department of Health (DOH)– Ilocos Region sa San Fernando City, La Union nitong Huwebes, Nobyembre 3, 2022.
Ayon kay Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco, ang mga nagwagi ay pinili sa pamamagitan ng isang set ng mga criteria kung saan ang performance ng bawat pederasyon ay minonitor at isinailalim sa ebalwasyon ng regional office.
“The performance-based incentive award is also a recognition of their valuable contribution in the delivery of primary health care services as frontliners and navigators in the implementation of the Universal Health Care,” ayon kay Sydiongco.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa ating mga BHWs, sa kanilang walang sawang pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa komunidad. May you always be reminded that you mattered the most, because in the success of every health program, you are at the frontline,” dagdag pa ni Sydiongco.
Catanduanes, niyanig ng magnitude 6.1 na lindol
Nabatid na ang regional office ay namigay ng apat na major prizes kabilang ang P75,000 para sa third place – La Union BHW Federation; P100,000 para sa second prize winner – Ilocos Norte BHW Federation, Inc.; P150,000 para sa first prize – Federated BHW Association of Pangasinan, Inc.; at P175,000 para sa grand prize winner ang Ilocos Sur BHW Federation.
Ang awarding ng performance-based incentive sa BHWs sa pamamagitan ng kanilang BHW federations ay taunang isinasagawa bilang suporta sa kanilang patuloy na development o income generating projects sa kanilang mga lalawigan.
Hinikayat naman ni Sydiongco ang mga BHWs na ipagpatuloy ang pagpapahusay sa health care system sa pamamagitan ng community empowerment at pagtugon at pagsuporta sa pangangailangang pangkalusugan ng kanilang mga constituents.
“The regional office shall continue to support you in all your undertakings in the fulfillment of your daily tasks,” pagtatapos pa ni Sydiongco.
