Binisita ng human rights lawyer na si Atty. Chel Diokno si dating Senador Leila de Limakasunod ng insidente ng pangho-hostagesa loob ng detention facility ng huli sa Camp Crame nitong Linggo ng umaga.

Pahayag ni Diokno, ikinuwento sa kaniya ni De Lima ang nangyaring insidente.

"When she recounted her experience to me, I could tell that she was visibly shaken. It was totally unexpected, unnerving, & very harrowing. She was praying rosary in her cell when the hostage taker barged in," saad niya sa kaniyang Tweet nitong Linggo.

"He manhandled her, choked her, and poked her hard with a home-made knife which he kept at her chest. He appeared ready to die and to kill her as well. At one point, she thought she was not going to make it out alive. Thank God she escaped death," paglalahad pa ni Diokno.

Dahil sa insidente, muling nanawagan ang human rights lawyer na palayain na ang dating senadora.

"Sen. De Lima should be released on bail immediately. She is not a flight risk and given the state of the evidence, there is every reason to grant her provisional liberty. #FreeLeilaNow"

Samantala, tinuligsa rin ni Senador Risa Hontiveros ang nangyari kay De Lima.

“We demand an explanation and a thorough investigation of this violent incident from the PNP and the Department of Justice. We need answers,” anang mambabatas.
