Magpapatupad muli angSocial Security System (SSS) ng bagongloan penalty condonation program para sa mga kuwalipikadong miyembro bunsod na rin ng pandemya ng coronavirus disease 2019.

Sa ilalim ng programa, hindi na sisingilin ng SSS ang principal at interest ng past-due short term member loan.

Gayunman, inoobliga ang mga miyembrong mayroong utang na bayaran ang 10 porsyento ng kanilang consolidated loan sa loob ng 30 araw pagkatapos maaprubahan ang sistema ng pagbabayad nito.

“We want to collect the past-due loans from our members. However, we also recognize that the pandemic has greatly affected the livelihood of many of them. At this point, they might already be able to pay their loan obligations,” ayon kay SSS president, chief executive officer Michael Regino.

“We designed this consolidated program to help them settle their loan obligations by condoning the penalties and offering flexible payment terms,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.
