Magsuot pa rin ng face mask sa gitna nararanasang pagtaas ng kaso ng coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) sa bansa.

Ito ang apela ng OCTA Research Group nitong Linggo at sinabing umabot na sa 15.2 porsyento ang positivity rate ng bansa mula Setyembre 25 hanggang 30, mas mataas ng tatlong beses sa limang porsyentong sa point of reference na itinakda ng World Health Organization (WHO).

“I’m hopeful that the surge in cases will go down eventually. But it would also really [require] that as individuals, we realize that what we do as citizens is more important than any government program in the fight against COVID,” pagbibigay-diin ni Prof. Ranjit Rye ng OCTA Research Group, sa isang panayam.

“That means being vigilant, that means considering wearing of the mask during times of high positivity," aniya.

“They’re actually quite necessary now especially that we have a new ruling on public transportation. We have public transportation where more people can come in. These are situations where we need to wear a mask - the high-risk situation… The risk of getting sick is quite high,” banggit ni Rye.
