Kinansela ng Department of Health (DOH) ang nakatakda sanang launching ngayong Lunes, Setyembre 26, ng special COVID-19 vaccination week sa Luzon, kabilang ang National Capital Region (NCR), gayundin ang lahat ng PinasLakas activities, bunsod nang pananalasa ng super bagyong Karding.
Sa isang memorandum na inisyu at nilagdaan ni DOH-Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire nitong Linggo, inianunsiyo ang pagpapaliban sa paglulunsad ng PinasLakas Bakunahang Bayan.
“Due to inclement weather brought about by Super Typhoon “Karding”, the PinasLakas Bakunahang Bayan launch scheduled tomorrow, September 26, 2022, is hereby suspended in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the rest of Luzon, indefinitely,” anang memorandum.
Nilinaw naman ni Vergeire na hindi sakop ng naturang kautusan ang PinasLakas Bakunahang Bayan sa iba pang rehiyon at maaari itong ipagpatuloy, base na rin sa iskedyul nito, sa diskresyon ng mga concerned executive committee members at mga regional directors.

Ang trabaho naman aniya sa DOH ay tuloy, habang wala pang opisyal na anunsiyo hinggil dito mula sa Office of the President.
“Work in the Department of Health tomorrow shall continue pending an official announcement from the Office of the President.
“In the event of an official suspension of work from the Office of the President, all offices/units whose functions involve the delivery of emergency services/response, and/or performance of other vital services are expected to continue rendering services,” bahagi pa ng memorandum.
Inatasan rin naman ni Vergeire ang lahat ng Executive Committee Members na manatili sa kanilang mga assigned areas at i-monitor ang disaster preparedness at response activities doon, gayundin ang estado ng lahat ng mga empleyado ng kani-kanilang grupo.
