MABALACAT CITY -- Patay ang piloto at sugatan naman ang dalawa nitong kasama sa isang helicopter crash sa Clark Freeport Zone sa Pampanga noong Martes, Agosto 16.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victims of this unfortunate incident that happened this morning at the Clark Freeport Zone," saad ni Mayor Cris Garbo.
Kinilala ni Garbo ang piloto na si Diosdado Lumandan at ang dalawang sugatan na sina Ivan Abiong at Rodley Esogon.
Sa isang ulat mula sa Clark Development Corporation-Public Safety Division, nagsagawa ng technical repair si Lumandan kasama sina Abiong at Esogon sa 1973 helicopter na may model MD369HS at nagsagawa rin ng test flight.
Catanduanes, niyanig ng magnitude 6.1 na lindol
Sa kasamaang palad, nag-overturn umano ang chopper at bumagsak sa Nabcor area.
Ayon sa alkalde, agad namang rumesponde ang CDC sa insidente. Inatasan din nito ang City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office na tingnan ang insidente dahil ito ay nasa hurisdiksyon ng Mabalacat City.
“I offer our deepest condolences to the family of Lumandan during this difficult time and I send prayers of healing to the two other passengers who were hurt. I call on the Mabalaquenians to pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Lumandan," saad ni Garbo.
