Hindi obligadong magsuot uniform ang mga estudyante sa mga pampublikong paaralan sa darating na pasukan, ayon kay Vice President at DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte nitong Lunes, Hulyo 18.
Ayon kay Duterte, makadadagdag lamang ito sa gastusin ng mga pamilya sa gitna ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin sa bansa.
“Even before the pandemic, it is not a strict requirement for public schools to wear uniforms (DepEd Order No. 065, s. 2010) to avoid incurring additional costs to the families of our learners," aniya sa isang pahayag.
"All the more that it will not be required this school year given the increasing prices and economic losses due to the pandemic,” dagdag pa ng bise presidente.
