Itinalaga ni Pope Francis si Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula bilang isa sa 14 na bagong miyembro ng Dicastery for Bishops ng Vatican.
Ang magandang balita ay isinapubliko ng maimpluwensiyang Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) nitong Miyerkules, batay na rin sa anunsyo ng Holy See Press Office.
Ayon sa CBCP, ang Dicastery for Bishops ay ang departamento ng Vatican na tumutulong sa Santo Papa sa pagpili ng mga susunod na obispo mula sa iba’t ibang bansa sa buong mundo.
Ito na anila ang ikalawang Vatican Office kung saan magiging miyembro si Advincula matapos na maging Cardinal, may dalawang taon na ang nakalilipas.
Matatandaang taong 2020 nang italaga si Advincula bilang bahagi ng Congregation for the Clergy.
