"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, I join our Muslim communities in observing Eid'l Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice," ani PBBM sa kanyang mensahe ng pakikiisa sa pamayanang Muslim.
Aniya, ang araw na ito ay nagpapaalala sa atin na sa pamamagitan ng malalim na pananampalataya at katapatan sa ating mga birtud, maaari tayong makipagsapalaran para sa mabigat na pagtataya, kahit na nangangahulugan ito na mawala ang mga mahal natin at bitawan ang maraming bagay na mahalaga sa atin.

Dagdag pa niya, habang ginugunita natin kung paano inalok ni Ibrahim ang kanyang anak, bilang pagsunod kay Allah, maniwala rin tayo na sa pagtitiwala sa ating sarili at pagsuko ng ating mga alalahanin sa Kataas-taasang Awtoridad, ang lahat ng hangarin ng ating mga puso para sa higit na kabutihan ay maririnig at ibibigay.
Aniya, "The solemn narrative that punctuates this occasion tells us that, at the onset of this administration, we must prepare ourselves to go beyond our comfort zones as we walk the path we have willingly chosen. The journey ahead of us will not be easy, but if we fight for what is right and predicate our every action on our love for our fellowmen and women, our people will surely benefit from the results of our individual choices."
