CAMP AQUINO, Tarlac City – Nahukay ang ilang sandata ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa Sitio Gued-Gued, Barangay Palis, Botolan, Zambales noong Linggo, Hunyo 26.
Sinabi ni Lt. Gen. Ernesto Torres Jr., hepe ng Armed Forces Northern Luzon Command, na ang pagtatago ng mga armas ay natuklasan ng 3rd Mechanized Battalion sa ilalim ng operational control ng Joint Task Force Kaugnay at Zambales Police Office.
“Following the tip provided by a concerned citizen in the area, the troops immediately responded and discovered the terrorist arms cache in the vicinity,” sabi ni Torres.
“The continuous discovery of CTG arms caches is a way to keep them from slipping through the cracks and performing hostile attacks in the North and Central Luzon,” dagdag niiya.

Natagpuan ang isang 30 M1 Garand rifle; 28 cartridges caliber 30 mm ball; isang M26 fragmentation hand grenade; dalawang cartridge, 40mm; tatlong M567 40mm; buckshot grenade; sira-sirang 5.56mm M16 rifle upper receiver; mga subersibong dokumento, watawat ng Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas, mga suplay ng pagkain at medikal, at mga personal na gamit.
Huling linggo noong nakaraang buwan, isang communist arms cache ang natuklasan din ng 3rd Mechanized Battalion sa San Jose, Tarlac.
