Tila dedma lamang si Kapuso Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas sa deklarasyon sa kaniya bilang "persona non grata" sa Quezon City dahil rumampa at namasyal siya sa isang mall dito, kasama ang pet dogs.
Sey ni Ai Ai, wala naman daw epekto sa kaniya ang deklarasyon ng QC Council. Hindi naman daw niya naramdamang hindi siya welcome sa lungsod, lalo na ang mga taga-QC. Hindi raw siya nag-aalala dahil alam niyang wala siyang nilalabag na batas at nagbabayad siya ng buwis.
“Hindi ako welcome sa mga taga-City Hall, pero 'yung mga tao sa Quezon City, welcome ako sa kanila," aniya. Marami pa raw ang bumati sa kaniya, nagpa-selfie, at nag-video.
“Na-touch nga ako dahil marami ang nagpa-picture na kasama ako. Doon sa isang restaurant, nag-video pa yung staff. Ang sabi nila, ‘Welcome back, Ma’am Ai-Ai!’ kaya hindi ko naramdamang persona non grata ako sa Quezon City."

Matatandaang naghain si outgoing Quezon City District 4 Councilor Ivy Lagman na balak niyang maghain ng isang resolusyong nagdedeklara bilang 'persona non grata' kina Kapuso comedy actress Ai Ai Delas Alas, VinCentiment director Darry Yap, at iba pang mga may kinalaman sa likod umano ng pambabastos sa Quezon City triangular seal, sa lumabas na campaign material para kay mayoral candidate at Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor.
Noong Hunyo 7 ay tuluyan na ngang naaprubahan ang resolusyong ito.

Sa naturang parody campaign video, makikita ang pagganap ni Ai Ai bilang si Mayor Ligaya Delmonte. Sa likod ng background ay makikita ang QC triangular seal na may nakalagay na 'BBM-Sara'. Sina Delas Alas, Yap, at Defensor ay pawang mga tagasuporta ng UniTeam na pinangungunahan nina President-elect Bongbong Marcos, Jr. at Vice President-elect Sara Duterte.
"I am calling all the content creators, especially Mr. Darryl Yap and Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, and many others who were part of this project, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for debasing and bastardizing the beloved seal of Quezon City," pahayag ni Lagman sa kaniyang privilege speech sa 94th Regular Session ng 21st City Council.
"It is a great disrespect and disregard of the laws of our land to superimpose the said seal just to campaign for a politician… I reiterate our call for these people, Mr. Darryl Yap, Ms. Ai Ai Delas Alas, Cong. Mike Defensor and his cohorts, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for their actions, and also promise to never do such acts again," dagdag pa niya.
Naglabas naman ng opisyal na pahayag ang kampo ni Ai Ai sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang abogadong si Atty. Charo V. Rejuso-Munsayac.
“Today, my client, Ms. AiAi Delas Alas-Sibayan has received information through social media, that a Resolution declaring her persona non grata was approved by the Quezon City council.
“While we are yet to receive a copy of the resolution, it was made clear that the focus was made on the alleged 'malicious and unscrupulous defacing of the official seal of Quezon City' claimed to have appeared on a video posted on the Facebook page of Vincentiments, where my client portrayed a character named 'Ligaya Delmonte'".
“The video which circulated during the campaign period is clearly a satire, a parody. It is not intended to be a statement of fact and is clearly not meant to be taken seriously by the audience.
“The video was obviously intended to be watched and taken as a whole, all elements being fictitious, including the seal behind the character portrayed by my client.
“It is unfortunate that the city council is nitpicking to find basis to curb freedom of expression in the guise of defending a perceived dishonor.
“We strongly condemn this act of the Quezon City council which endangers the protection granted by the freedom of expression for artists, entertainers, content creators, and comedians who use satire or parody to express sentiments or criticize public acts or figures."
“This also endangers their livelihood since it appears to be a form of cancellation making them wary to take on similar works in fear that public officials will retaliate in similar fashion."
“As public officers, the members of the Quezon City council should be more prudent and circumspect in the exercise of their discretion and should not take hasty actions which could adversely affect my client and cause undue anxiety to her family and friends."
“While we believe that the resolution does not physically affect my client, we will be monitoring every statement made against her to ensure that my client’s rights are protected.”

Samantala, nilinaw naman ni Lagman ang sakop ng kaniyang resolusyon kina Delas Alas at Yap. Ayon sa ulat, nais lamang daw ni Lagman na magsagawa ng "sincere public apology" sa mga taga-Quezon City ang dalawa sa kanilang ginawa.
Malaya pa ring makapunta ang dalawa sa kahit na alinmang lugar sa Quezon City dahil ito ay resolusyon lamang at hindi naman sakop ng ordinansa. Wala rin silang kahaharaping penalty o pataw na multa. Ito raw ay "simboliko" lamang na ayaw ng mga taga-QC ang kanilang ginawa sa satire campaign video.
