Sinabi ni Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia na walang alok mula sa papasok na administrasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ito ay matapos na-bypass na ng Commission on Appointments (CA) ang ad interim appointment ng limang opisyal, kabilang ang mga hepe ng Commission on Elections (Comelec), Civil Service Commission (CSC), at Commission on Audit (COA).

Isiniwalat naman ni Garcia ang plano nitong ituloy ang mga reporma sa elektoral na sinimulan, aniya, sa pribadong kapasidad.

Garcia, kasama ang dalawa pang appointees ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Komisyon — sina Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan at Commissioner Aimee Neri — ay pawang na-by-pass ng Commission on Appointments noong Miyerkules, Hunyo 1.
Sinabi niya na wala siyang masamang pakiramdam para sa hindi pagkuha ng appointment.
Nagpasalamat din si Garcia sa Comelec at sa publiko.
"No bad feelings. No regrets. So thankful to my Comelec family and the Filipino people for the opportunity. The sacrifices are worth it. For God and country," ani Garcia.
Matatandaang kinatawan ni Garcia si Marcos sa electoral protest kaugnay ng vice presidential race sa 2016 polls.
Ang tatlong opisyal ng Comelec ay itinalaga sa puwesto noong Marso 8.
Samantala, nagpahayag ng kalungkutan si Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan dahil hindi siya kinumpirma ng Commission on Appointments (CA) at ang iba pang appointees ni Dutertes.
"Today, my ad interim appointment as Chairman of the Commission on Elections ends. Due to a lack of quorum, the appointments of President Rodrigo Duterte to the independent Constitutional Commission have all been bypassed," aniya sa isang pahayag.
"It is with a heavy heart that I accept such outcome but I would like to restate my utmost respect for the actions of the CA," dagdag niya.
Ang desisyon na i-bypass ang mga itinalaga ni Duterte ay dumating matapos ibunyag ni Senate Majority Leader Zubiri na ang mga incoming Marcos Cabinet officials, ay binanggit sa posibilidad na hayaan ang president-elect na gumawa ng sarili niyang mga pagpili para sa mga posisyon ng constitutional body.
