Dinakip ng mga awtoridad ang isang babaeng empleyada ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) kaugnay ng umano'y iligal na transaksyon nito sa mga nag-a-apply ng driver's license sa Quezon City kamakailan.

kinilala ng pulisya ang inaresto na si Maria Fe Carpina Doringo, 58, nakatalaga sa releasing at receiving division ng LTO-Novaliches District Office.

Isinagawa ang pag-aresto ng mga tauhan ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) batay na rin sa reklamo ng mga kinatawan ng Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

Idinahilan ni CIDG director, Maj. Gen. Eliseo Cruz, minamadali ni Doringo ang proseso sa pag-a-apply ng student permit at driver's license kapalit ng pera.

Nasamsam kay Doringo ang marked money, LTO identification card nito, isang student permit at isang application form na ginagamit umano nito sa kanyang iligal na transaksyon.

Nahaharap na si Doringo sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 11032 (Anti-Red Tape Act).

“The government undertakes reforms aimed at improving its public service through promoting integrity and transparency and reducing red taping in all of its agencies. However, some still defy this goal and continue to commit illegalities for their personal gain. When there are illegal activities, the CIDG will be in the forefront to enforce the law and ensure that violators, regardless of their status and position will be facing justice behind bars,” dagdag pa ni Cruz.
