Binati ni United States (US) Secretary of State Antony Blinken si presumptive president Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. sa tagumpay nito sa kamakailang 2022 elections, aniya handang makipagtulungan ang US kay Marcos para palakasin ang alyansa ng dalawang bansa.

“On behalf of the United States, I congratulate President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on his election as the Philippines’ next president,” ani Blinken sa isang pahayag.

“We look forward to working with President-elect Marcos to strengthen the enduring alliance between the United States and the Philippines,” dagdag pa niya.

Sinabi ng opisyal ng US na inaasahan ng US ang pakikipagtulungan ng ikalawang administrasyong Marcos upang isulong at pahusayin ang special partnership ng dalawang bansa.

“Our special partnership is rooted in a long and deeply interwoven history, shared values and interests, and strong people-to-people ties,” ani Blinken.

“As friends, partners, and allies, we will continue to collaborate closely with the Philippines to promote respect for human rights and to advance a free and open, connected, prosperous, secure, and resilient Indo-Pacific region,” dagdag pa niya.

Samantala, binati rin ni Blinken ang mga Pilipino sa pagsasagawa ng halalan.

“We commend the millions of Filipino voters who cast their ballots in this election, and we look forward to the official conclusion of the electoral process for the many offices in the national elections,” aniya.

Nakakuha si Marcos ng mahigit 31 milyong boto batay sa partial at unofficial results.
