Pinahintulutan ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang pagpapatupad ng flexible working hours para sa kanilang mga Muslim personnel ngayong panahon ng Ramadan.

Bilang pagpapakita anila ito ng respeto sa karapatan ng bawat Pinoy na Muslim na obserbahan ang naturang banal na okasyon.

“The Department of Education respects the rights of all Filipino Muslims to observe fasting during the month of Ramadan from April 3 to May 3, 2022,” anang ahensiya.

Batay sa memorandum na inisyu ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones noong Martes, nabatid na ang mga Muslim staff nito, na nagpa-fasting bilang pagtalima sa banal na buwan ng Ramadan ay maaaring magtrabaho ng walong oras nang walang noon break.

Magsisimula ang flexible working hours ng alas-7:00 ng umaga hanggang alas-9:30 ng umaga at magtatapos ng mula alas-3:00 ng hapon hanggang alas-5:30 ng hapon.

“In view thereof and as has been a policy of the Department, Muslim personnel nationwide who are fasting while working during the month of Ramadan are allowed to observe flexible working hours, which start from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and ends from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., without noon break, to complete eight hours of work,” anito pa.
