Nagpahayag ng kanilang “matinding pagkabigo” ang mga dating opisyal, miyembro, volunteer, at youth organizers ni presidential candidate Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno Domagoso na Aksyon Demokratiko party noong Martes, Abril 19 dahil sa kanyang pahayag sa isang joint press conference kamakailan kasama ng iba pang presidential bets kung saan nanawagan siya para sa pag-atras ni Vice President Leni Robredo sa laban.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng mga dating opisyal at volunteers ng Aksyon Demokratiko party na “uncalled for” ang panawagan ni Domagoso para sa pag-atras ni Robredo.

“While their resolve to continue their respective presidential bid against all odds is commendable, we believe that Moreno’s call on Vice President Leni Robredo to withdraw is uncalled for and even detrimental to their goal of uniting our people towards a clean and fair elections,” mababasa sa pahayag.

“It was clear that Moreno saw the press conference as an opportunity to retaliate against initial calls by Robredo’s supporters for him to withdraw, which he refers to as a “social injustice’,” dagdag nito.

Sa isang joint press conference noong Linggo, Abril 17, hiniling ni Domagoso kay Robredo na "gumawa ng supreme sacrifice" at "umatras" mula sa karera ng pagkapangulo.

Sinabi rin ng dating opisyal na ang mga kamakailang aksyon ay "nagpapatibay" sa kanilang pananaw na si Robredo ang "nag-iisang kandidato na may integridad, katatagan, at kadalubhasaan" upang maging susunod na pangulo ng bansa.

“We initially believed it was Isko Moreno who could deliver effective and decisive action and bring about a new kind of politics in our country,” dagdag ng pahayag.

“That vision of ours for the country has never changed — Mayor Isko Moreno, however, has already fallen far from what he thought he was…. Now, more than ever, the leader we want and need is Leni Robredo.”
