May patutsada sina Senador Ping Lacson at Manila Mayor Isko Moreno tungkol sa naunang pahayag ni Vice President Leni Robredo na hindi siya tatakbo bilang pangulo.

Itinanong sa kanila kung kinokonsidera nilang mag-unite sa susunod na administrasyon para sa kapakanan ng mga Pilipino.

Ayon kay Senador Ping Lacson, kaya raw sila nagsasagawa ngayon ng press conference upang mabigyan pa ng choices ang mga tao na pumili ng susunod na pangulo. 

"To unite under one candidate we're falling into the trap of the particular candidate. They've been working on it for the longest of time since the start 'yan ang effort nila," aniya.

Ibinahagi rin niya na dalawang beses silang nag-usap ni Vice President Leni Robredo tungkol sa unification.

"Very clear, very obvious ang intention is to unite under her. And that's not unification as far as I am concerned and that's the reason why we're here. We talked among ourselves to offer ourselves and let the Filipino people decide. Who they want to be their next leaders. 'Yun ang essence ng ating press conference today," dagdag pa ng senador.

Samantala, sumagot din si Domagoso. Aniya, face-to-face raw sinabi sa kanya ni Robredo na hindi siya tatakbong pangulo.

"I would like to re-enforce the statement of Senator Ping. Yes I was fooled also. In my face with the vice president. She said so many times, one thousand times, with all exaggeration. That she will never run for president," aniya

"She said it to me, maybe to Senador Ping. But to the general public you ask GMA-7 they have so many document interviews that she will never run. So we [were] made to believe to unite, but we were fooled literally in our face so that kind of person cannot be trusted," dagdag pa niya.

"Kung ganun pa lang may masama nang intensyon from the beginning, hindi talaga puwede pagkatiwalaan," patutsada pa ni Domagoso.

Matatandaan na nagkaroon ng Unity talks sa pagitan ng mga presidential aspirant kasama si Vice President Leni Robredo ngunit hindi ito nagtagumpay kaya't naghain ng kandidatura sa pagkapangulo si Robredo.

Gayunman, sinabi rin ni Moreno noong nakaraang taon na wala siyang planong tumakbo bilang presidente.
