Nanawagan ang Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) na i-reactivate na ang Task Force Kontra Bigay (TFKB) na tututoksa mga reklamongbilihan ng boto.
Sa isinagawang pagpupulong nitong Lunes, Abril 11, ipinaliwanag niDILG undersecretary, spokesperson Jonathan Malaya, isang malaking dagok sa demokrasya ng Pilipinas ang pamimili ng boto sa panahon ng halaan.
Noong 2019 midterm elections aniya ay pinagana na ang task force, gayunman, ipinatupad lamang ito sa provincial level.
Aniya, iminungkahi na nila sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) na i-active ang TFKB hanggang sa municipal level.

Bukod sa Comelec, kabilang din sa bumubuo ng TFKB angDepartment of Justice, DILG, Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
“Ngayong2022,inaasahan ngDILGna kaagad agad ay maaprubahan na ngComelec'yungresolution reconstituting and reactivating the Task ForceKontra Bigay sa tingin ko naging matagumpay ito dahil meron tayong356 violators who were accosted by the dedicated anti-vote buying teams of the PNP at meron tayong₱12 million vote buying money that was confiscated which served as evidence,” ani Malaya.
Binanggit na aniya sa kanila ng Comelec na ilalabas na ang resolusyon sa Miyerkules at pagkatapos ay nagpupulong ang mga miyembro pagkatapos ng Mahal na Araw.
“I hope we can also focus on the prosecution of these people so that our countrymen can see that we are serious in our steps to prevent or at least reduce vote buying in our country,” aniya.
Sa Section 261 ng Omnibus Election Code, ang pamimili at pagbebenta ng boto ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal.
