Inirekomenda ng pulisya at militar na isailalim ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa areas of concern ang mahigit sa 300 lugar sa bansa kaugnay ng nalalapit na May 9 National elections.
Inamin ni Comelec Commissioner George Garcia na ang kahilingan ay iniharap ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
"As of today, there are recommendations submitted to us. But there is yet a Comelec resolution formally declaring these as areas of concern," pagdidiin ni Garcia sa isang pulong balitaan sa Maynila nitong Huwebes.
Wala pa aniyang desisyon ang Comelec sa usapin dahil iniutos pa muna ni Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan sa mga tauhan nito na magsagawa muna ng final verification sa mga nasabing lugar.

"The Chairman deemed it necessary to order a reverification, not from AFP or PNP, but from our own field personnel.Every day the assessment will have to be changed. The PNP and AFP are recommendatory, but in the end, we will have our own final determination,” sabi pa ng opisyal.
