Sa pagkilala sa kahalagahan ng pananaliksik sa paggawa ng mga patakaran sa loob ng gobyerno, pormal na inilunsad ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang Edukasyon-Saliksik (E-Saliksik) Research Portal.
“Research is very important to support policy formulation in the government,” sabi ni Education Secretary Leonor Briones sa isang pahayag.
“This is where I believe that our research platform will make a great contribution,” dagdag niya.
Pinangunahan ng Planning Service – Policy Research and Development Division (PS-PRDD), sa pakikipagtulungan sa Information and Communications Technology Service (ICTS), ang research portal na binuo at idinisenyo bilang sentrong imbakan para sa pananaliksik sa edukasyon sa departamento.

Sinabi ni Briones na ang paglulunsad ng E-Saliksik, ang bagong research portal ng DepEd, ay nagbibigay sa mga mananaliksik sa buong Pilipinas ng “opportunity to learn from one another, in the comfort of their work stations as it is accessible remotely.”
Bukod dito, ipinakilala rin ng DepEd ang plataporma upang gawing mas madaling ma-akses ang pananaliksik sa edukasyon at hikayatin ang pagsasagawa at paggamit ng pananaliksik mula sa paaralan hanggang sa pambansang antas sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahagi ng kaalaman.
“I look forward, even as we are finishing our term, that the research we make available in the portal will also aid us as we prepare for the continuation of education,” ani Briones.
“We encourage our research managers across governance levels to populate the portal, this portal with quality education research,” dagdag niya.
Nagtatampok ang portal ng "E-Saliksik" ng DepEd ng iba't ibang klasipikasyon ng pananaliksik, kabilang ang Teaching and Learning, Governance, Human Resources, Child Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction, Inclusive Education, at Gender and Development.
Samantala, binigyang-diin din ng Tagapangulo ng National Research Committee at Undersecretary Nepomuceno Malaluan ang kahalagahan ng pananaliksik.
“For us to be able to meet those challenges of education quality, our policy directions and our actions need to be founded on solid research,” ani Malaluan.
Sa paglulunsad ng portal, itinampok din ang mga testimonya mula sa DepEd key officials, research managers, at teacher-researchers.
