Inendorso ng National Unity Party (NUP) ang kandidatura ni presidential aspirant at dating Senador Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., nitong Huwebes, Marso 24.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni NUP Deputy Secretary General at Spokesman Reggie Velasco na ang panawagan ni Marcos Jr. na pagkakaisa ay isang basic strategy para sa pagbangong ng ekonomiya sa patuloy na banta ng Covid-19 pandemic.

“BBM's call for unity as the basic strategy for economic recovery amidst the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and global uncertainties is consistent and supportive of the NUP’s primary vision of 'one nation, one future' as enshrined in the Party constitution," ani Velasco.

Nanawagan naman ito sa miyembro ng kanilang partido na makiisa kay Marcos Jr.

“We call upon all our Party members to join hands with former Senator Marcos in bringing our country and people to continued prosperity and progress," dagdag ni Velasco.

Inilabas ang pahayag na ito matapos ang pagpupulong nina Pangulong Duterte at Marcos Jr.

"It was a cordial and productive meeting, where the President shared his experiences and insights as an outgoing Chief Executive with the presidential aspirant," ani PCOO Sec. Martin Andanar.

Ang NUP ang isa sa mga malalaking partido sa House of Representatives.

Dati rin itong Partido ni presidential aspirant at Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso ngunit nag-resign ito bilang vice chairman noong nakaraang taon. Ngayon ay parte na siya ng Aksyon Demokratiko na itinatag ni late former Senator Raul Roco.
