To the rescue ang action star na si Robin Padilla sa pagtatanggol kay Toni Gonzaga mula sa naging pahayag ni Erik Matti, isang film director.

Sa Instagram post ni Matti noong Pebrero 9, inihalintulad niya ang mga pangyayari noon sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Adolf Hitler, isang diktador sa Germany, sa Marcos regime sa Pilipinas. 

Ibinahagi rin ng direktor ang tungkol sa pagsuporta sa mga kandidato.

Aniya,"To give your support to any political candidate whether or not out of affinity, blood or loyalty is between you and your conscience. You can do whatever you want with your celebrity power and God’s guidance because this is a free world, after all. But to be brazen, arrogant and snooty makes all of it despicable, disgusting and really crude."

Dagdag pa niya, "What makes you people so emboldened, seeming almost like untouchables, to never have the decency to acknowledge with humble bowed heads and with Almighty God as your witness, that you are on the side of what history had unmistakably and irefutably proven to have been part of the plunder and corruption of the Philippines then and now."

Sa dulong bahagi mayroon itong hashtag na #bothered.

Ngunit hindi umano ito nagustuhan ni Padilla. Sa kanyang Facebook post, pinatutsadahan niya si Matti.

“Baka propaganda ang ibig mo sabihin nakikisawsaw ka pa sa pagbanat kay TONI G

“Kung May karapatan ka sumuporta sa kandidato mo May karapatan din si TONI G

“Hindi ka naman pinakikialaman ng Tao sa sinusuportahan mo

“Pa inglis inglis ka pa

“Artistic at Political freedom niya yun kung sino ang gusto niya suportahan

“You love to talk about freedom but you don’t respect the freedom of others

“Director ka diba kasama sa pinag aralan mo ang pag alam sa two sides ng istorya

As of writing, wala pang sagot si Matti sa naging pahayag ni Padilla.

Tumatakbo si Robin Padilla bilang senador sa ilalim ng PDP-Laban na pinangungunahan ni Cusi.
