Inindorso pa rin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kandidatura ni Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito sa pagka-senador sa 2022 National elections.
Kabilang si Ejercito sa senatorial ticket nipresidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lacson.
Sa isang video na isinapubliko ng kampo ng dating senador nitong Miyerkules, inilarawan ni Duterte si Ejercito bilang isang "kaibigan at kaagapay ng administrasyon."

Kabilang si Ejercito sa tumulong upang maipasa angUniversal Healthcare (UHC) Act, gayundin sa pagpasa ng batas sa paglilikha ngDepartment of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Nangako rin si Ejercito na maipagpatuloy ang pagpapatupad ng UHC at maisulong angmass transit at infrastructure development apag nanalo ito sa pagka-senador sa eleksyon sa Mayo 9.

We will remain true to our promise to continue pushing for better healthcare and better infrastructure development in the country,” tugon naman ni Ejercito sa naging hakbang ng Pangulo.
