Nagsimula nang mangalap ng mga dokumento ang mga imbestigador ng gobyerno para suportahan ang isang court pleading para sa disclosure warrant na mag-uutos sa social media platform na TikTok na ibunyag kung sino ang gumawa ng umano'y banta ng pagpatay laban kay presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM).
“They’re still gathering information to support the application for disclosure warrant,” sabi ni Department of Justice-Office of Cybercrime (DOJ-OOC) Officer-in-Charge Director Charito A. Zamora.
“Kailangan po ng warrant before TikTok shall divulge yung information that we requested them to preserve,” dagdag niya.
Aniya, ang mga law enforcement agencies na nangangalap ng impormasyon ay ang National Bureau of Investigation-Cybercrime Division (NBI-CCD) at ang Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG).

Inendorso ng DOJ-OOC sa NBI-CCD at PNP-ACG para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon ang umano'y banta ng pagpatay laban kay BBM.
Sinabi ni Zamora na inaksyunan ng kanyang tanggapan ang ulat na natanggap niya noong Enero 28 mula sa isang concerned citizen.
Sinabi niya na ang sinasabing banta laban kay BBM ay nakita sa comment section ng video na ipinost ng user na si @joiedevivre420 sa social media app na TikTok.
Dagdag niya, ang nasabing komento ay nagbitaw ng mga salitang “Nagmemeeting kami araw araw para paghandaang ipa-aasasinate naming si BBM humanda kayo.”
“We made an initial investigation on the matter and referred the same to the NBI-CCD and PNP-ACG for further investigation,” sabi ni Zamora.
“We also emailed the Tik Tok Law Enforcement Outreach and requested the data related to the subject account preserved pending investigation by the law enforcement agents concerned,” dagdag niya.
