Nasa kabuuang 690 na persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), halos ay senior citizens at ang iba ay may comorbidities, ang naturukan ng flu vaccine sa Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) sa Mandaluyong City.

Ayon sa Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) nitong Biyernes, Enero 28, ang flu vaccinations ay isinagawa noong Disyembre 29 at 30.

Anito noong Enero 4,  “CIW personnel were also given vitamins, and flu vaccines to bolster their immune systems as part of the institution’s continuous combat against the life-threatening COVID-19 virus.”

“This institution not only places considerable emphasis on the well-being of those PDLs under its custody, but it also guarantees that the health of its workforce is catered as well," dagdag pa nito.

Sinabi rin ng BuCor na ang mgas correction officers sa pitong pasilidad ng bilangguan sa buong bansa ay “regarded as the foundation of the prison system, and as such, their wellness must be given adequate advantage.”

Ang flu vaccination program sa CIW ay isinagawa sa pamamagitan ng tulong ng Mandaluyong City Health Office, na nag-suplay din ng mga bakuna.

Samantala, may kabuuang 3,297 sa 3,340 kabuuang populasyon ng bilanggo sa CIW ang nabakunahan laban sa COVID-19 noong nakaraang Enero 4.
