Iniulat nitong Enero 2 ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) na bumaba ng 9% o siyam na porsyento ang insidente ng krimen sa Metro Manila ng 2021 kumpara noong 2020.
Pangunahing sakop ng naturang panahon ang liderato ng kasalukuyang Regional Director na si Maj. General Vicente Danao Jr.
Partikular sa mga krimen na may malaking pagbaba ay ang Murder na umabot sa 490 nitong 2021 kumpara sa 687 noong 2020 katumbas ng 29 porsiyentong ibinaba nito, bumaba naman sa 34% ang Physical injuries mula sa dating 1,122 insidente noong 2020 kumpara sa 741 naman ng 2021.
Bukod dito, bumaba rin ng 16% ang Homicide;8% sa Rape; 11% sa Robbery; 3% sa Theft; 9% sa Carnapping of Motor Vehicle;18% sa Carnapping of Motorcycle; at 25% naman sa jbang special complex crimes; 13% sa index crimes at 7% naman ang non-index crimes sa Metro Manila.

Ayon pa sa opisyal, ang pagbaba ng krimen sa Metro Manila ay dahil sa malakas na community-police partnership bunsod ng pangako ng NCRPO na mas pagtibayin pa ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong TAMA alinsunod sa PNP vision na mataas na kapabilidad, epektibo at may kredibilidad na pagseserbisyo ng pulis sa pakikipagtulungan ng komunidad tungo sa pagkamit ng mas ligtas na tirahan, trabaho at sa pagsasagawa ng negosyo.
