Nakatanggap ng "unmodified" opinion ang Social Security System (SSS) mula sa Commission on Audit (COA) para sa financial statement noong 2022, ito ang pinakamataas na audit rating na ibinibigay ng mga state auditors sa mga government agencies.

Tinanggap ni SSS President and CEO Aurora C. Ignacio ang COA audit opinion para sa 2020 financial report.

Sinabi ni Ignacio na sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic, ang state-run insurance program "continued to pursue its mandate of providing meaningful social security protection to its members and their beneficiaries through a culture of excellence in management grounded upon sound and efficient policies and best practices.”

“For CY 2020, SSS’ total cash inflow from the collection of members’ contribution and proceeds from investments and other income reached P231.51 billion, which surpassed its total cash outflow of P205.52 billion from payments to members and beneficiaries and payments for operations, resulting in a net cash generated from operating activities of P25.99 billion,” dagdag pa niya.

Samantala, lumago ng P38.61 billion o 6.4 porsyento hanggang P639.99 bllion ang asset ng SSS noong 2020 mula sa P601.38 billion noong 2019.

Iniulat din ng SSS na batay sa 2019 Actuarial Valuation nito, ang fund life ay inaasahang tatagal hanggang 2054.
