Nag-donate ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ng nasa 20 laptop sa isang public school sa Malvar, Batangas.
Ayon sa DICT, ang donasyon ay bahagi ng Digital Education Program and its component Cybersafe Learning Project ng ahensya.
Pinangunahan ni DICT Undersecretary Jose Arturo C. De Castro ang turnover ng learning devices sa mga opisyal ng San Isidro National High School.
“Notwithstanding the limited resources, the DICT is working tirelessly to provide for the technological needs of public educational institutions for our students who are struggling with distance learning,”ani De Castro sa isang pahayag.

Ipinatupad ng DICT ang Digital Education Program upang matulungan ang mga local government unit na mapadali ang ICT-enabled education, lalo na para sa distance learning sa gitna ng patuloy na pandemya.
Ang kahabagi nitong Cybersafe Learning Project Education ay naglalayong i-optimize ang paggamit ng ICT sa pagpapahusay ng cyber-education at pagsulong ng digital literacy.
“The Department seeks to promote and develop the use of ICT in education,” ani De Castro.
“Through this initiative, we aim to be more responsive and attuned to the needs of our educational institutions, their teachers, and the students,”dagdag niya.
