Nagbigay ng commencement speech si Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto sa graduating class ng Ateneo De Manila nitong Linggo, Oktubre 24.

“We have to seek out the opinions of others… Let’s make an effort to listen to people from outside our echo chamber,” ani Sotto.

Inaddress niya and talumpati sa mga estudyante ng Ateneo Graduate Program, the School of Humanities, the John Gokongwei School of Management, the School of Science and Engineering, and the School of Social Sciences.

Nagbiro rin si Sotto tungkol sa kanyang tungkulin bilang commencement speaker.

“Ngunit, sigurado ako na hinding-hindi niyo makakalimutan na sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon sa kasaysayan ng ating pamantasan, ang inyong commencement speaker akala nyo ay pormal na naka-barong, pero ‘yun pala nakasuot lamang ng shorts. Kidding aside, if I am kidding.”

Si Sotto ay graduate sa Ateneo De Manila University.

Nagtapos siya ng bachelor's degree sa political science sa Ateneo noong 2011 at natapos ang kanyang masters sa public management sa Ateneo School of Government noong 2018.
