Maaaring isailalim ang National Capital Region (NCR) sa Alert Level 2 sa susunod na mga linggo kung magpapatuloy ang pagbaba ng COVID-19 infections, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH) nitong Huwebes, Oktubre 21.

“Before the increase in cases last March and April, we were just averaging in NCR less than 500 a day. So I think that will be a comfortable number,” ayon sa panayam ni Health Undersecretary and spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire sa CNN Philippines.

“If this number continues to decline, it is very possible that we can be de-escalated in the coming weeks,” dagdag pa niya.

“Hopefully magtuloy-tuloy and this is really the start of decline in the number of cases.”
