Nagpaabot ng pasasalamat si Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General ManagerAtty. Romando "Don" S. Artes sa pagtitiwala at kumpiyansa ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
"I am humbled and grateful for the trust and confidence given to me by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the new General Manager of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority," ani Atty. Artes.
Noong Oktubre 12, kinumpirma ng pamunuan ng MMDA ang pagkakatalaga ni Artes bilang bagong general manager ng ahensya.
"Being the former assistant general manager for finance and administration, I am giving my assurance that the programs and projects being undertaken by the Authority will continue, as I work hand in hand with Chairman Benhur Abalos and the entire MMDA workforce amid our gradual shift to the new normal brought by the COVID-19 pandemic," pahayag pa nito.

Pinalitan ni Atty. Artes ang nagbitiw sa puwesto na si dating GM Jojo Garcia matapos magdeklara ng kanyang intensyong tumakbo sa pagkakongresista sa Rizal sa 2022 elections.
